Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a dynamic $10 million construction and property development firm that specializes in acquiring, developing, and leveling residential plots of land. They are seeking an Accounting Manager/Senior Accountant to join their team on a 3+ month contract basis.

Position Title: Accounting Manager/Senior Accountant
Location: Remote
Hourly Rate: $50.00 - $70.00/hour
Job Type: Contract (3+ months)
Required: Job Costing experience

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in the development of policies, procedures, and SOPs for the company
• Apply job costing principles, with a specific focus on construction and property development experience
• Oversee the close process and reconciliations
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions
• Generate financial statements for the company's owners
• Perform other duties as needed to contribute to the success of the accounting department

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in construction, property development, or homebuilding (not property management)
• Extensive background in job cost accounting
• Comfortable being the sole person in the accounting department
• Previous experience in a small to mid-size firm with a strong understanding of setting up accounting processes
