Title: Senior Accountant

Hourly Rate: $40.00 - $50.00/hour

Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
• Oversee the general accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and recommending improvements
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and decision-making
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax preparation
• Conduct financial audits and work closely with auditors
• Maintain strong internal controls and suggest enhancements when necessary
• Stay up to date with accounting regulations and best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
• CPA designation strongly preferred
• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
• Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, with advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Prior experience in a fast-paced environment and with contract work is a plus
