Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert has teamed with a local organization near Norfolk, VA searching for a Finance Director for a small firm.

This will be a contract role for 3+ months and looking to start immediately!

Candidate will be responsible for:

• Financial statement preparation
• Bank account reconciliations
• Grants accounting
• Audit prep and review
• Liaising with auditors both financial and governmental
• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Mentoring younger staff members
• Being part of the leadership team and presenting when necessary

Candidate should have the following background:

• 5+ years of accounting experience
• 2+ years of leadership experience (manager/director level)
• Experience working with auditors
• Experience with grants accounting and Federal grants reporting
• Experience with Quickbooks Online accounting system preferred but not required
• Ability to mentor fellow team members
• Other duties as assigned
