Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is working with a leading government contracting organization to provide accounting and finance services to a Federal Agency in downtown DC.  Candidates will be responsible for significant budget analysis regarding appropriation of funds for the Agency during a 5+ month study.  Majority of the work will be done remotely, but there are meetings required in DC on an as needed basis.  

Title: Budget Analyst
Hourly Rate: $40.00 - $70.00/hour
Location: Hybrid / Remote - Washington, DC

Responsibilities/Qualifications:

• Has in-depth understanding of the Federal budget process and appropriations, including Common Appropriations Structure (CAS). 
• Able to develop and document the budget process from the initial customer request through funding transfer and through execution of requirements. 
• Provides recommendations for improvements as needed. 
• Compiles financial data and performs data validation and analysis. 
• Able to create and analyze budget trend data.
• Automates recurring and ad hoc reports.
