Job Title: Contracts Administrator
Location: Columbia, MD
Schedule: Full-time, 5 days a week
Compensation: $35-$40 per hour
Job Description:
Contract Management:
- Assist and coordinate with the Contracts Manager and Director to oversee the lifecycle of contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Research and assist in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various contracts, including vendor agreements, subcontracts, and client contracts.
Risk Mitigation:
- Help identify and assess potential contract risks and propose mitigation strategies in collaboration with the department Director and Manager.
- Work with legal counsel to address legal issues and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Negotiation and Communication:
- Collaborate with the department Director and Manager in leading contract negotiations with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Engage with internal teams such as sales, project management, and finance to ensure clear communication of contractual obligations.
Contract Compliance:
- Monitor and enforce compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Assist in developing and implementing contract management best practices to enhance efficiency.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and organized contract records, including approvals and correspondence.
- Generate regular reports on contract status, highlighting key milestones and potential issues.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in contracts research and support within a government contracting environment.
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements for contracts.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Requirements:
- United States Citizenship.
- Must have government contracting experience.
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds (accommodations available).
- May require a security clearance, which will be sponsored by Convergint Federal. The candidate must obtain and maintain the required level of clearance.
