Senior Financial Analyst 16544853
Alexandria, VAWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and KPI tracking, as well as supporting month-end close processes. The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex financial models to support decision-making.
• Perform variance analysis to identify key drivers of financial performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to improve financial performance.
• Support month-end close activities, including reviewing and analyzing financial statements.
• Collaborate with department heads to understand and track their financial performance and provide strategic recommendations.
• Present financial reports and insights to senior management.
• Continuously improve financial processes and systems for increased efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (required).
• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build and manipulate complex financial models.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
