Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert has teamed with a local organization near Norfolk, VA searching for a Finance Director for a small firm.
This will be a contract role for 3+ months and looking to start immediately!

Title: Finance Director
Location: Hybrid - Suffolk, VA
Hourly Rate: $35.00 - $55.00/hour
Job Type: Contract (3+ months)

Candidate will be responsible for:
-    Financial statement preparation
-    Bank account reconciliations
-    Grants accounting
-    Audit prep and review
-    Liaising with auditors both financial and governmental
-    Accounts Payable
-    Accounts Receivable
-    Mentoring younger staff members
-    Being part of the leadership team and presenting when necessary

Candidate should have the following background:
-    5+ years of accounting experience
-    2+ years of leadership experience (manager/director level)
-    Experience working with auditors
-    Experience with grants accounting and Federal grants reporting
-    Experience with Quickbooks Online accounting system preferred but not required
-    Ability to mentor fellow team members
-    Other duties as assigned
