SUMMARY
An exciting opportunity to join an established and growing real estate company! The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining all accounting responsibilities for a portfolio of properties, including:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for all aspects of cash flow and management including bank reconciliations, payments, general ledger analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation
- Preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports
- Initiate monthly payments for debt service, and owner distributions
- Calculation of monthly management fees and other fees
- Responsible for timely payment of real estate tax and insurance
- Evaluate and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with team members, as needed
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures and maintain effective internal controls
- Identify and implement process improvement
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university
- 3 years’ prior accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and relate effectively, productively, and positively with a diverse range of people
- A high level of responsibility and organization
- Knowledge of or enthusiasm to learn property management accounting processes, including industry-specific software, is preferred
