The Human Resources Manager connects with managers and employees, advising and guiding them on HR policies, compliance requirements, and employee/employer best practices aimed at maintaining and strengthening a safe, professional and enjoyable workplace environment. They perform daily HR related tasks and conduct periodic reviews of Company policies and practices to ensure HR processes and programs are consistently followed, align with our goals and values, and are always in regulatory compliance.
Duties include (but not limited to) the following:
Works with store management on recruiting, onboarding, orientations, and employee evaluations.
Works with employees and management to address issues/concerns/conflicts and ensure proper resolution and documenting,
Administers company Benefits programs.
Assists with Payroll processing.
Assists with Off-Boarding and exit interviews.
Ensures the Employee Handbook and other policies are updated to ensure current compliance with local and federal regulations.
Implements new HR policies, procedures and cultural building initiatives.
Interacts with various agencies for employment verifications, background investigations, unemployment processing, etc.
Maintains the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) - currently using Paycom - and trains managers on proper usage
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field a plus.
1-3 years experience in Human Resources.
Experience with HRIS (any) is highly desired.
Experience/Knowledge with a multi-unit small business is desired.
Strong oral and written communication skills, in English, are required.
Strong oral Spanish skills are required.
Strong written Spanish is a big plus.
Hospitality/Restaurant experience is a big plus.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
