Rapidly growing $200m+ retail company, with outlets expanding across the country, is actively recruiting for a Director to oversee construction and facilities projects and strategy.  

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, and partnering with the Chief Financial Officer, this individual shall offer strong organizational, communication and partnership skills.  He/she should be cost-conscious, resourceful and accountable. This individual will possess very strong Project Management skills and be an exceptional communicator.  

This role is broken down into three areas of influence:

Facilities:
  • Lead Weekly Meetings with Facilities Team
  • Oversight of Service Channel management
  • Ensure timely ticket handling, management and resolution  
  • Negotiate new terms with existing vendors
  • Identify new vendors as needed to ensure cost and service quality.
  • Oversee Construction/Facilities Coordinator and Facilities Technician
  • Compare costs and make appropriate decisions with competitive vendors
New Store and Remodeling:
  • Reviewing Lease language related to construction with CFO.
  • Landlord Coordination
  • Prepare bid documents
  • Manage project timelines
  • Identify/edit timeline changes as needed based on any permitting or licensing issues
  • Order new store equipment and appliances
  • Budgeting, tracking invoices, tallying total costs
  • Relevant communication and coordination regarding construction timelines.
  • Oversee construction of energy projects
  • Oversight of Construction Project Manager or General Contractor
Workshop:
  • Lead weekly meetings with Workshop Team
  • Oversight, planning and scheduling custom fixture build outs and installations
  • Oversight and management of workshop team
  • Management of cost, space, productivity
