IT Manager

Our client works with key building stakeholders to make their facilities secure, compliant, and efficient. They are looking for an IT Manager to join their team.

The IT Manager will develop and maintain IT and cybersecurity policies and procedures for Chinook and ensure internal compliance with the requirements of Government contracts and flow down requirements to subcontractors. The IT Manager will provide networking and system security technical subject matter expertise.

  • Develop strategies and solutions for on‐premise and cloud hardware, software, and technologies
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of current and emerging technologies, architectures, cloud solutions, and products inclusive of Cisco and Microsoft security tools.
  • Determine program objectives, requirements, and budgets, including future capability and interoperability needs
  • Prepare cost benefits analysis reports when upgrades are necessary, continuously analyzing vendors to ensure they offer the best possible service and value for company needs
  • Administer and manage vendor and consultant contracts and organize and manage projects.
  • Install, upgrade, configure, patch, and secure networks, firewalls, routers, and other network security appliances
  • Proactively administer, monitor, and maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, phone systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
  • Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory and up-to-date network diagrams
  • Respond to incidents, resolve technical issues during and outside regular working hours
  • Train employees on both software and hardware, troubleshoot, and provide technical support when needed
  • Develop corporate IT and Cyber policies & procedures following regulatory standards and guidelines
  • Assess system performance and perform detailed technical analysis, risk assessments, system testing, and hardening to increase cyber resilience
  • Perform NIST 800‐171 self‐assessments, develop system security plans (SSP) and POAMs, and achieve a minimum of CMMC Level 2 compliance
  • Implement security controls, procedures, and policy associated with compliance to NIST 800‐171 and CMMC regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Support the completion of annual self‐inspections for the National Industrial Security Program (NISP)
  • Maintain current knowledge of federal and commercial IT and cyber security policies, standards, and guidelines

  • Senior-level knowledge of computer and network system design, technology integration, vendor technologies, standards, best practices, and security controls.
  • Ability to supervise, work, and communicate effectively in interactions with all levels of staff, vendors, and clients
  • Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize and display sound judgment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Works methodically and analytically with problem-solving capabilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8 or more years of progressive experience and demonstrated knowledge in enterprise IT system design, installation, configuration, integration, and project management.
  • Networking certification and knowledge of vendors’ products, as well as routing, switching and wireless products
  • Must possess one or more of the following: Network+, Security+, CISSP, CEH, CISA, CISM, CGEIT
