A Government Contractor (Defense and Space Manufacturing), based in Arlington, VA who is seeking a Contracts Analyst. Candidates must have recent Government Contracting experience. Must have knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS), rules and regulations and ability to apply this knowledge.
The Contracts Analyst is responsible for performing impromptu, weekly, monthly, and routine contract management related tasks. The Contracts Analyst will serve as key support in assisting and reporting directly to the Contracts Manager to meet contract requirements for program and project initiatives. The Analyst will be a self-starter and team-player who assists the Contracts Manager with tasks, such as, but not limited to maintaining contract data, drafting contract documentation, performing contract actions, preparing monthly deliverables, creating and maintaining spend plans, preparing contract related financial data, and invoicing for subcontractors.
This is a 100% remote if candidates live in the DC Metro area role with yearly compensation in the range of $90k-$105k.

Maintain contract status and files containing correspondence and other documentation.
Prepare accurate contract and subcontract financial status reports to track service support and Other Direct Costs.
Prepare and disseminate information to the appropriate stakeholders regarding contract status.
Evaluate costs and forecasting for various programs and determine impact.
Draft relevant contract documentation for close-out and other contract actions.
Participate in bi-monthly Headquarters staff meetings facilitated by the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Research, gather, analyze, and interpret data.
Assist with ensuring compliance in accordance with contract requirements.
Assist the Contract Management team with assigning personnel to projects and updating other personnel data within Unanet (Falconwood’s Financial Reporting System).
Prepare contract deliverables and spend plans in accordance with the contract.
Understand forecasting/projections in contracting.
Assist with preparing briefs consisting of current contract data.
Assist with the maintenance of a compliant purchasing system.

Ability to assist the Contracts Management team with technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to mitigate risks.
Ability to work well within a cross-functional environment and handle multiple projects on a fast-paced team.
Ability to communicate the subcontract invoicing process to the financial team.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and balance priorities.
Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS), rules and regulations and ability to apply this knowledge.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite applications (such as Sharepoint, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or other relevant field of study.
Three to four years of ‘hands on’ experience within a Department of Defense (DoD) and/or federal procurement environment.
