Senior Accountant - Property Accounting 16174514

Cordia Resources has collaborated with a well known and respected property management company seeking a new Senior Accountant to join the team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of a group of commercial real estate assets. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in public accounting or the real estate industry, and the desire to grow their skills as part of a team.
  • Full-cycle general ledger accounting for assigned properties, including support of support month and year-end reconciliation and closing
  • Prepare and review monthly and year-end financial statements
  • Prepare monthly loan draws and monitor funding and disbursement
  • Collaborate with property management teams to prepare property operating budgets
  • Analyze and interpret operating and financial information regarding profitability, capital expenditures, and performance against budget
  • Coordinate with third-party auditors and tax-accountants as needed, gathering and maintain supporting documentation as necessary
  • Integrate acquisitions into accounting and reporting frameworks
  • Deliver detailed, high quality, and timely reports as requested
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate preferred
  • Ideal candidate will have prior experience (2-4 years) in public accounting and/or the real estate industry
  • Experience with Yardi, Timberline or MRI desired but not required
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact with wide range of people across multiple levels of our and our clients organization
  • Ability to multi-task to meet deadlines, with strong attention to detail
