Interim Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager 16198356

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to assist us with a "catch up/clean up" project in preparation for the audit. This temporary position will be crucial in ensuring our financial records are accurate and up to date for a successful audit scheduled.  The ideal candidate will have expertise in various accounting functions, including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, general journal entries, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and audit readiness.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Conduct reconciliations of other balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Generate general journal entries in QuickBooks based on bank statements and other supporting documentation.
  • Assist in the reconciliation and cleanup of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Review payroll records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with the accounting team to ensure all financial data is organized and prepared for the upcoming audit.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining documentation required for audit readiness.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting roles, with expertise in bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, general journal entries, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or other relevant accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working on multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of audit processes and requirements.
