Cordia is partnered with a top architecture design firm that is seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on Part-Time Interim Controller to support their financial operations.

Job Title: Part-Time Interim Controller
Location: Hybrid -Washington, D.C.
Pay Rate: $55.00 - $60.00/hour
Job Type: Part-Time Contract (4-6 months)
Software: Deltek Vision (preferred but not required)

 The Interim Controller will report to the Managing Principal and play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's financial health. This role is expected to require approximately 20 hours per week, with the flexibility for remote work and presence in the office at times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare financial statements, providing insights and analysis to assist in decision-making.
• Monitor and forecast cash flow.
• Journal entry preparation and review, including payroll journal entry.
• Oversee the monthly billing process, handling approximately 40-50 monthly invoices.
• Collaborate with external CPA firms to coordinate annual tax filing.

Requirements:

• Experienced Controller with a broad financial background and hands-on approach.
• Willingness to delve into the details, given the limited support staff.
• Proficiency with accounting software, preferably Deltek Vision.
• Knowledge of the architecture or construction industry is a plus but optional.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• Flexibility to work partly remotely with some in-office presence.
