Cordia Resources is currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior Accountant for our non-profit client. If you are a skilled accounting professional with a strong background in non-profit finance, we invite you to apply for this position. 

As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for supporting balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close activities, journal entries, and variance analysis. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective utilization of resources.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Assist in the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and financial statements.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary financial information and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Provide support for annual audits and other financial examinations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close, journal entries, and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software, with Lawson experience being a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the non-profit sector.
