Location: Remote
Hourly Rate: $50.00 - $70.00/hour
Job Type: Contract (1 month)

As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire revenue cycle, from patient registration to claims processing and payment collection. Your primary objectives will include improving revenue generation, ensuring compliance with billing regulations, and enhancing overall financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue capture and minimize revenue leakage throughout the revenue cycle.
  • Lead a team of revenue cycle professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure departmental goals are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and clinical departments, to streamline processes and enhance revenue cycle efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure compliance and optimize revenue cycle operations.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with payers, vendors, and external stakeholders to facilitate effective revenue cycle management.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of revenue cycle policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and address issues related to coding errors, denials, and revenue cycle inefficiencies.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and engagement in financial processes, ensuring a positive experience throughout the revenue cycle.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on data analysis and industry benchmarks.

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in revenue cycle management within the healthcare industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of billing and coding practices, healthcare reimbursement methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue cycle goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using revenue cycle management software and data analytics tools.
