Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert has partnered with a leading organization that is searching for an Application Architect for a fully-remote role.

This role is anticipated to last 1 year and is in support of a technology transformation from a mainframe system to a .net/SQL Server database platform.

Candidate will be responsible for:

• Designing, developing, and optimizing software applications – specifically transitioning to a Microsoft stack
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs.
• Ensuring scalability and maintainability of applications.
• Overseeing application design and development.
• Providing architectural insights and guidance.
• Coordinating with other team members to define requirements and systems design.

Candidate should have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 7 years of architecture experience with advanced to expert level knowledge and understanding of architecture, applications systems design and integration using .Net and the SQL Server database platform.
• Experience developing enterprise level application and custom integration solutions including major enhancements and interfaces, functions and features with .Net and the SQL Server database platform.
• Experience using SQL Server database platforms to design and deploy automated systems applications.
• Experience developing programming and development standards and procedures as well as programming architectures in .Net and the SQL Server database platform.
• Experience in state-of-the art programming languages and object-oriented approaches in designing, coding, testing and debugging programs including .Net and the SQL Server database platform.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
