Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is working with a long-time client in the Gettysburg/Hanover, PA area that is searching for a Desktop and Network Support Specialist for a manufacturing and distribution facility in the area. Candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of all computer equipment in the manufacturing facility.
Candidate will be responsible for:
• Assisting in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, printers, software, and networks.
• Monitor system and network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
• Manage and maintain server and software backup systems.
• Implement and maintain IT process automation.
• Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
• Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including updates, and patches.
• Assist in the management of user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.
• Collaborate with senior IT staff on various projects and initiatives.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Work outside of regular business hours as needed.
• Be available for occasional travel to other sites/branches in the United States.
Candidate should have the following:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 4+ years of equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of network and system administration concepts.
• Expert knowledge in Windows operating systems and common software applications.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V.
• Knowledge of Cloud services including Azure
• Scripting skills including PowerShell and VB
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
