Cordia Partners & Resources is a locally owned Finance and Accounting Executive Search, Contract Staffing and Outsourced Accounting Firm, run by former Chief Financial Officers, Accounting Firm Partners and Recruiting Industry Experts.  With three local offices (Washington, DC; Vienna, VA and Rockville, MD) we are uniquely and effectively positioned to support any size or location of local client.  We support the growth of these organization through effective delivery of high quality, cost-effective accounting, business advisory, and recruiting partnerships.

To accommodate recent marketplace growth and expansion, our Cordia Resources' Executive and Professional Search Team is adding a Search Director immediately. 

The Search Director, Finance & Accounting Operations, is an instrumental and key addition to a highly professional, effective and production-heavy permanent placement team at Cordia Resources.  Headquartered in our Washington, DC Offices (or Vienna, VA), this individual will be focused on and dedicated to the full life-cycle of sourcing, business development, recruitment, and account management and placement within the Accounting & Finance Permanent Placement Practice.
 
Our high-performing Permanent Placement team consists of reputable, experienced industry professionals with proven track records, along with a best-in-class recruitment support/sourcing team.  Our Search Directors operate under a tireless team concept, always with a high level of urgency and communication - and an outstanding, ethical and focused customer service approach.  We have determined that after many quarters of high performance that a focused, supportive team concept works, and, benefits all.  This Search Director must be independently driven, yet accountable to firm Partners, and always inclusive with all facets of open roles and business dealings.  We are seeking a true "Hunter" of people and opportunities, but someone who also enjoys winning with the team and watching everyone grow and succeed.

The Search Director, depending on requirement, will be supported by multiple Senior Recruiters and Resource Managers, who are all independent, motivated and creative in their support of the team. Our Senior Recruiters and Resources Managers hold an emphasis on candidate development which aids Search Directors in their effort to fill open permanent positions. In addition, Cordia Resources provides effective business development leads through not only our affiliation with Cordia Partners, but also from various local networking groups, board members, firm supporters and organic industry leads.  The ideal Search Director will be independent but not reliant upon company driven leads.  He/she should be able to drive business leads and, at the same time, be an outstanding internal consultant when responding to or partnering up with firm owners, partners and leadership.
 
 
The Search Director will expected to routinely and independently manage all facets of the permanent placement process:

Sourcing:
  • Execute internet, website and/or phone research to determine appropriate candidate and client leads and targets for recruitment and eventual placement;
  • Perform cold calls to companies for new business leads;
  • Generate new candidate lead calls to determine viability/lead quality;
  • Actively call current and placed candidates for new names, leads and ideas;
Business Development:
  • Consistently seek out new permanent job leads for team, using (and not limited to): interviews, cold calls, online research, networking events, candidate reference calls, and; teaming with Contract Staffing Team, Business Development Team, Senior Partners and Executive Management. 
  • Participate and help drive attendance to multiple firm-sponsored networking events, career and college fairs, conferences, symposiums, happy hours and corporate gatherings
  • With approvals, take the initiative to develop new events to maximize incoming permanent placement business
  • Market current, active candidates for open Washington, DC metro area positions
Recruitment:
  • Actively cultivate and maximize office interviews with professional and executive-level candidates in the regional offices
  • Assist and partner with team on various and routine professional and executive-level positions
  • Develop new candidate leads through universal networking activities
  • Cold call and actively source new talent through marketing of currently open positions
Account Management & Placement:
  • Maintain high level of effective and professional communication at all times
  • Perform best-in-class, full-cycle client account management through timely phone calls, client meetings and email follow-up
  • Promote job opportunities to qualified candidates at professional and executive level
  • Exhibit ethical, accurate and professional customer service strategies with any and all client communication
  • Manage and negotiate any and all contract details with and for clients (fee amounts, guarantee periods and other misc. language)
  • Successfully execute and manage new position kick-off calls with new and/or existing clients
  • Negotiate and schedule candidate interviews and execute candidate feedback calls
  • Support, negotiate and assist with offer/salary amounts, and job offer process and delivery
  • Perform reference calls
  • Assist candidates with resume support, guidance and feedback
 
Preferred Experience & Requirements:
*BS Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Liberal Arts is preferred
*MBA is considered a plus but not required
*5+ years of external search firm, or "agency" within finance/accounting focus is highly preferred
*5+ years of corporate talent acquisition or "internal recruiting" is preferred
*Public Accounting experience is considered a plus
*Superior understanding and grasp of how the business recruiting cycle works
*Outstanding motivational, organizational and prioritization skills are required
*Must have the ability to work additional hours, enjoy furthering careers, and solving client challenges

Compensation/Benefits Details:
$140,000-$200,000 total compensation potential in first year, directly attributed to:
*Highly competitive base salary (to eventual recoverable draw)
*Competitive commission schedule
