Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a renewable energy focused non-profit organization who is seeking an Interim Controller to join their team on a contract to hire basis. This role offers the flexibility of remote work, with occasional travel to our offices in Ft. Pierce, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting for the full life-cycle of loans, including loan origination and servicing. Experience with non-profits, particularly with federal and state grants, is a plus. Job Title: Controller Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Ft. Pierce, FL) Compensation: $65.00 - $75.00/hour Job Type: Contract to Hire Key Responsibilities:
Hands-on responsibility for the day-to-day accounting operations, supervision of staff, and monthly close.
Oversee and manage the full life-cycle of loan accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with the finance team to enhance financial processes and reporting.
Support the management of federal and state grants, if applicable.
Ensure financial operations align with our mission and goals.
Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in accounting for the full life-cycle of loans.
Experience with non-profits and managing federal and state grants is highly desirable.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
Willingness to travel occasionally to Ft. Pierce, FL.
