Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with an investor-owned business seeking an Interim Hands-on CFO to lead their team as the current CFO moves into retirement over the next few months. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of accounting to lead in preparing the financial reports, as well as experience with a business sale to provide information and support during this effort.

Supervise the accounting department to ensure smooth day-to-day transactions
Provide insightful analysis of financial trends, variances, and budget comparisons to support informed decision-making.
Inform key stakeholders of financial status
Present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to executives and investors
Assist in quality of earnings effort by providing requested information
Assist in the potential sales process
Support due diligence effort by maintaining relevant financial information
Requirements and skills
Proven work experience as a CFO in a hands-on environment
Hands-on experience with accounting and financial management software
Expertise in MS Excel
Analytical skills
Ability to explain financial terms in simple language
Willingness to work in-office in Buffalo, NY, minimum 3 days, ideally 4-5 days a week
