Overview:
A growing organization in the renewable energy space is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its dynamic accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple entities, support financial operations, and contribute to a mission-driven company focused on sustainability and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly and quarterly accounting close processes
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare loan draws for development projects
- Record journal entries for revenue, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, and debt transactions
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to generate ad-hoc accounting reports
- Serve as a liaison with external auditors, lenders, and vendors
- Support cash forecasting and liquidity analysis
- 1–2 years of accounting experience in external auditor general ledger accounting
- CPA license or CPA candidate preferred
- Experience in renewable energy, construction, or real estate industries is a plus
- Familiarity with technical accounting topics and intercompany transactions
- Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, or similar general ledger systems preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, treasury, operations, and legal teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
