Director of Finance – Full-Service Hotel

Location: Greater Chicago Area
Reports To: Managing Director
Team Size: 3–4 Accounting/Finance Staff

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead the financial operations of a full-service hotel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality accounting and a proven ability to manage a team in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with hotel brand standards and local regulations.
• Manage and mentor a team of 3–4 accounting/finance professionals.
• Collaborate with department heads to optimize financial performance.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years in hotel accounting, preferably in a full-service environment.
• Systems: Familiarity with M3 and/or ProfitSword is highly preferred.
• Education: 4-year college degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ideal).
• Certification: CHAE preferred but not required.
• Brand Experience: Background with major brands such as Westin, Marriott, Starwood, Hyatt, or similar.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Location Requirement: Candidates should reside in or near the Greater Chicago Area.

Compensation: 

• $140,000-150,000 base salary
• Up to 35% target bonus
• Excellent benefits, 401k, PTO etc.
