Senior Fund Accountant - Private Equity

My firm is recruiting for a new Senior Fund Accountant for a leading middle market private equity firm ($8B growing to $16B) that focuses on investing exclusively in the aerospace, defense, government, maritime, environmental, infrastructure and industrials.  This is a high-profile role that reports to a Managing Director.
 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the management of third-party fund administrator, audit firm, and tax advisor
  • Assist with the onboarding and administration of existing and new funds
  • Management fee and NAV calculations
  • Assist with the review and issuance of capital calls and distributions (including calculations)
  • Assist with ensuring the timely receipt and reconciliation of capital call payments
  • Assist with standard fund performance calculations and financial modeling requirements.
  • Net IRR calculations, regulatory net performance calculation
  • Assistance with financial reporting as needed and/or appropriate
  • Assistance with addressing investor requests related to financial reporting
  • Maintain models, supporting calculations and documentation for lines of credit

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, finance, or related field
  • CPA and/or Master’s degree preferred
  • 4-7 years of work experience in private equity accounting/ finance, operations, and/ or private equity fund administration
  • Understanding of financial statements for private equity funds
  • High proficiency and understanding of waterfall calculations
  • High proficiency in Excel
  • Versatile multi-tasker with strong attention to detail and organization
  • Team orientation and history of establishing and maintaining good working relationships within and outside the firm
