My firm is recruiting for a new Senior Fund Accountant for a leading middle market private equity firm ($8B growing to $16B) that focuses on investing exclusively in the aerospace, defense, government, maritime, environmental, infrastructure and industrials. This is a high-profile role that reports to a Managing Director.
PrimaryResponsibilities:
Support the management of third-party fund administrator, audit firm, and tax advisor
Assist with the onboarding and administration of existing and new funds
Management fee and NAV calculations
Assist with the review and issuance of capital calls and distributions (including calculations)
Assist with ensuring the timely receipt and reconciliation of capital call payments
Assist with standard fund performance calculations and financial modeling requirements.
Net IRR calculations, regulatory net performance calculation
Assistance with financial reporting as needed and/or appropriate
Assistance with addressing investor requests related to financial reporting
Maintain models, supporting calculations and documentation for lines of credit
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, finance, or related field
CPA and/or Master’s degree preferred
4-7 years of work experience in private equity accounting/ finance, operations, and/ or private equity fund administration
Understanding of financial statements for private equity funds
High proficiency and understanding of waterfall calculations
High proficiency in Excel
Versatile multi-tasker with strong attention to detail and organization
Team orientation and history of establishing and maintaining good working relationships within and outside the firm
