Project Finance Consultant (6-Month Contract)

Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is recruiting for a Project Finance Consultant to support a dynamic portfolio within the Space & Defense sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional seeking a challenging contract role with a leading organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial management of contracts, monitor project performance, and alert stakeholders to risks.
• Ensure projects have available funding, coordinate approvals for at-risk projects, and support contract execution.
• Approve invoices and purchase requisitions, verify codes and funding, and manage monthly invoice packages.
• Set up WBS for contract modifications, coordinate approvals, and ensure accurate project setup.
• Review and sign accruals, ensure SOX compliance, and support revenue recognition and adjustments.
• Provide explanations for cost/revenue variances, update forecasts, and participate in monthly financial reviews with Project Managers.
• Support EAC reviews, quarterly variance analysis, contract closeouts, and audit activities.

Qualifications:

• Experience in project finance, contract management, and financial analysis.
• Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint, Salesforce, and SOX compliance workflows.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate financial insights to stakeholders.
• Ability to work onsite in Reston, VA three days per week.
