Director of Technology

One of CORDIA's valued and fast-growing clients ($200m) is hiring a Director of Technology to oversee technology teams, including IT Support, Special Projects, and Data & Development.

 Position Breakdown:

  • Ensure that they deploy the right technology solutions in their retail stores and central office as they scale.
  • Oversee technology teams (IT, Special Projects, and Data & Development)
  • Provide both Systems Thinking and Strategic Leadership
  • Lead and coach the three department managers 
  • Supervise and coach technology teams
  • Inquiries into metrics that fall outside of acceptable thresholds
    • Helpdesk response time
    • Customer Satisfaction
    • Unpatched systems
    • System Downtime
    • Reporting on recurring issues (tags)
    • Agent workload
    • Spend
  • Continually look for process improvements, cost reduction opportunities, and ways to enhance customer service.
  • They are working effectively with other technology teams and other stakeholder groups to create excellent outcomes.
  • Special Projects team to use the best project management processes framework for setting project scope, setting timelines, and allocating resources
  • Data & Development team in using a data governance model that allows for scale and seeking opportunities to simplify and automate data processes
  • Ensure the team is:
    • Solving all IT issues arising in stores and central office quickly and efficiently. 
    • Using best practices in managing our server deployments. 
    • Securing our network infrastructure.
    • Managing our vendors proactively.
    • Managing new store IT infrastructure buildout
    • Communicating across all departments on all things IT related
    • Working effectively with our other technology teams and other stakeholder groups to create excellent outcomes.

Position Requirements/Preferences:

  • Experience with POS systems
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365: Business Applications
  • Will be expected to collaborate cross-functionally, solve problems, etc.
  • Knowledge or experience in Catapult or MS Dynamics is preferred but not required
  • Should be comfortable with a hybrid (or more) commute to Bethesda/Rockville area
  • Should have managed at least seven staff members before

 Culture & Compensation:

  • $150,000 - $180,000 base (dependent on appropriate experience)
