Associate Director, Global Spend and Transparency Compliance
$170k + 20% bonus
Hybrid, 2-3 days in office--Gaithersburg

Managing our client’s global travel and expense operations; educating all entities about transparency initiatives, projects and reporting. This role requires a cross-functional leader with excellent project management skills, an ability to engage and motivate teams, a commitment to accountability and a passion for problem solving. 

Specific Duties:
  • Build and lead a global transparency reporting program: develop the process for tracking and reporting HCP and HCO spend to meet certificate and disclosure obligations (e.g., Sunshine Act/State Law/EFPIA, etc
  • Create awareness of applicable standards/processes as it relates to global travel and expenses
  • Ensure overall healthcare compliance, support auditor requests and specific compliance with SOX 404
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting with the CMS Open Payments and other similar regulations outside of the United States.
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of healthcare compliance practices, systems, and processes, with an emphasis on business integrity, operational excellence, and practicality.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing development of travel and expense operational strategies for new regions, in line with Global objectives.
  • Manage global travel/expense programs, ensuring training, education and compliance with company policies and business processes.

  • Solid, proven understanding of the Global Spend Transparency landscape
  • Prior experience selecting ERP projects including vendor selection
  • 8+ years of related experience at a biotech, pharmaceutical or healthcare company with at least 3 years managing teams including building out a virtual helpdesk to answer stakeholder questions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
  • Experience with T&E systems, ideally Concur
