Accounting Manager
$90-100k salary + bonus
100% REMOTE (HQ in Chevy Chase, MD)

Our client is a growth oriented FinTech that is expanding operationally. The company is headquartered in the DC area with satellite offices around the US, and this role and the team are 100% REMOTE. The Company is searching for an Accounting Manager to join their team of 3-4 on Accounting team. The company was founded by a prominent investment professional, the Company is keenly focused on providing strategic funding for small to medium-sized businesses in various industries across the country. The ideal candidate has a CPA, strong operational accounting abilities, and public accounting experience is ideal.
Target salary $90-100k + bonus, depending on experience.

  • Assist with management of accounting team and development of staff
  • Review and close the books monthly (several different entities, including Funds and Asset Manager) under strict reporting deadlines
  • Review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review flux analyses over monthly financial statements to interpret investment performance and periodic trends
  • Prepare monthly waterfall and distribution calculations in accordance with Fund investment agreements
  • Provide close information to fund administrator and act as point of contact during their closing process
  • Allocate investment performance to various investors and track individual investor NAVs over time
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of key financially significant IT systems
  • Review and approve cash movements (collections, distributions, and purchases)
  • Point person for annual Fund GAAP audit
  • Partner with C-Suite and drive strategic initiatives including operational/functional improvements, system improvements, and bolstering the financial processes and controls

  • BS in Accounting, required
  • CPA, required
  • 3-5 years of applicable accounting experience (public or corporate accounting)
  • Excellent understanding of technical accounting matters (white papers, GAAP interpretation, etc.)
  • Ability to manage/manipulate large data sets
