Financial Operations Controller Herndon/Hybrid—1 day in office $130k plus bonus potential
Our client is a large, national staffing and consulting company headquartered in Herndon and offices internationally. This is a newly created position due to extremely rapid growth (40%) over the past 2 years. In this vital position, you will be using your strategic and technical abilities to streamline processes, manage the accounting staff overseas and managing all operational financial activities. Prior experience managing a remote staff and working is a fast paced environment will be helpful to your success.
Oversee the activities of the remote operational financial team located in overseas. The team consists of 20 employees at varying levels of experience.
Review new client contracts, procedures and requirements and ensure the team is setup properly to handle them.
Manage the timecard retrieval process (manual and automated) to ensure time is captured quickly for the efficient processing of payroll which is processed by another department.
Manage the Accounts Payable process including expense reports, subcontractor invoices/vendor invoices, weekly payments, and manage payments.
Manage Accounts Receivable process – timely invoicing and resolution of any issues surrounding invoices, monitor receivables for past due amounts and escalate and/or collaborate with account managers as necessary.
Oversee the collections process and engage with outside collection agencies and/or attorneys to assist in elevated collection efforts.
Act as the final escalation point for all issues arising from normal financial business operations (timesheets, invoicing, AR, AP and payroll interface). Resolve issues and identify ways to adjust processes to prevent them in the future.
