The Senior Accountant reports directly to the Controller and will work closely with the Lease Administration, Accounts Payable and Property Management departments. The Senior Accountant provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
General duties consist of posting monthly accruals, preparing asset, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
Responsible for summarizing current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statements and other reports
Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents, reconciling financial discrepancies and preparing special financial reports by collecting and analyzing account information
Prepare Monthly Financial reporting
Handle all Account Reconciliations, including Bank Reconciliations
Prepare Escrow Analysis
Record general ledger journal entries
Special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience is required
Proficient in Accounting, Corporate Finance, and reporting
3+ years of previous operational accounting experience
Strong attention to detail, organization skills and ability to multitask efficiently and independently
This position also requires Confidentiality, Time Management, Data Entry Management, General Math Skills, and must be Self-motivated
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and accounting systems
