Cordia Resources is searching for a detailed and driven Billing & Collections Analyst to join a steadily growing federal IT team. The Analyst will join a solid and multi-faceted team to support billing and collections functions directly alongside Accounting, Finance, Contracts and Program Support colleagues. The ideal Analyst will have a balanced approach of providing great customer service with detailed follow up, and will partner internally/externally with all levels of the organization. Responsibilities:
Support the billing and collections of Time & Materials (T&M / rate based), fixed-fee, and direct placement invoices
Review and verify billing invoices for accuracy, cross-referencing and matching data between vendor management system, Excel, and supporting documentation (timesheets, purchase orders, contracts, etc.)
Research and respond to billing inquiries or discrepancies, pulling in appropriate documentation or resources as necessary to reach a resolution; escalating when necessary
Document any changes to invoices, customer information, or contract details as needed
Support the month-end bill close process and ensure deadlines are met
Partner with Sales, Contracts, Finance and Accounting teams with any billing or collections related requests or inquiries
Monitor customer accounts, reach out with customers for information such as remittance advices, purchase orders, etc. as needed
Track accounts with past-due balances, and provide regular, diligent follow to maintain strong customer relationships and seek appropriate account resolutions. Escalating issues when necessary
Identify areas of process improvements or efficiencies within the team, and collaborate to implement them
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Ideal candidate will have 2-5+ years' experience with accounts receivable, billing, and/or collections (B2B preferred)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with knowledge of VLOOKUPS and pivot tables required
Experience with NetSuite preferred
Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a clear, concise, and correct manner
Ability to prioritize evolving workload to meet assigned deadlines
