Senior Payroll Administrator/Manager

As the Senior Payroll Administrator/Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization. Your expertise in payroll administration and compliance will help maintain our commitment to excellence and adherence to all relevant laws and regulations. Experience with Workday is highly preferred, as you will be responsible for utilizing this platform to manage payroll-related tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, including data entry, calculations, and disbursements, to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to maintain employee records and validate payroll information.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and provide support to employees regarding pay issues, deductions, and benefits.
  • Generate and analyze payroll reports, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure the company's practices remain compliant.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct periodic audits of payroll data to maintain data integrity and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead and participate in payroll-related projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll data and information.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience 5 years+ in payroll administration and management.
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience with payroll software, with preference given to candidates with Workday proficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, able to work collaboratively and provide exceptional customer service to employees.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost integrity.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Certification in Payroll (e.g., CPP - Certified Payroll Professional) is a plus.
  • Experience in managing a team of payroll administrators is advantageous.
