Cordia Resources is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Accountant. This role will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records to support our non-profit client’s mission and community impact.
Responsibilities:
Process and record incoming payments and donations accurately and in a timely manner.
Monitor accounts receivable aging and actively follow up on outstanding balances.
Collaborate with program managers and development teams to ensure proper allocation of funds and accurate financial reporting.
Generate invoices and donation receipts for individual donors, corporate partners, and grantors.
Address donor inquiries related to contributions, receipts, and tax documentation.
Reconcile accounts receivable records with the general ledger on a regular basis.
Prepare and submit financial reports related to accounts receivable as required.
Work closely with the finance team to analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making processes.
Assist in the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and support.
Implement and maintain efficient and effective accounts receivable processes to improve collection rates.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Accountant or in a similar finance role.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in accounts receivable.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional communication skills to interact with donors, team members, and external stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Experience in a non-profit organization or knowledge of non-profit accounting is a plus.
