Cordia Resources is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Accountant. This role will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records to support our non-profit client’s mission and community impact.

  • Process and record incoming payments and donations accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and actively follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Collaborate with program managers and development teams to ensure proper allocation of funds and accurate financial reporting.
  • Generate invoices and donation receipts for individual donors, corporate partners, and grantors.
  • Address donor inquiries related to contributions, receipts, and tax documentation.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable records with the general ledger on a regular basis.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports related to accounts receivable as required.
  • Work closely with the finance team to analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making processes.
  • Assist in the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Implement and maintain efficient and effective accounts receivable processes to improve collection rates.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Accountant or in a similar finance role.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in accounts receivable.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills to interact with donors, team members, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in a non-profit organization or knowledge of non-profit accounting is a plus.
