Staff Accountant ($55k-$70k salary)

A promising opportunity awaits a Staff Accountant to join their dedicated accounting team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role revolves around responsibilities including accounts payable, general ledger work, financial reporting, and budgeting.
The compensation package ranges between $55K-$70K. The team currently operates on a hybrid work schedule. Beyond the compensation package, employees are treated to remarkable benefits:

Responsibilities:
- Steer the accounts payable process, ensuring timely disbursements to staff, contractors, and external vendors.
- Be the go-to person for all payment-related inquiries, both within and outside the organization.
- Oversee and implement the Institute’s corporate credit card program.
- Meticulously review and process staff expense reports, upholding the Institute's accounting policy.
- Record financial transactions, adhering to the stringent standards of GAAP.
- Execute monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and analyses, paving the way for periodic financial book closures.
- Craft routine and monthly journal entries as required, providing comprehensive documentation for the Controller's review to confirm appropriate coding, accounting treatment, and approvals.
- Facilitate annual audit activities by preparing schedules, furnishing necessary documents, and diligently responding to auditor queries.
- Engage actively in refining accounting processes and bolstering internal controls.
- Assist in analytical tasks tied to budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement reviews.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or higher degree in accounting or business administration.
- Preferably, hands-on experience in managing accounts payable.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving capabilities coupled with superior communication skills and a background in customer service.
- An innate ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment marked by tight deadlines.
