Hourly Rate: $40.00 - $50.00/hour

Position Overview: As a Senior Accountant , you will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial landscape and ensuring the efficient management of our clients resources. Your expertise will empower them to allocate funds wisely, maintain financial transparency, and maximize impact. You will be an integral part of a collaborative and passionate team, contributing directly to their ability to create lasting change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Perform thorough financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate tracking of program expenses and grants management.
- Contribute to the enhancement of financial processes and systems to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the annual audit process and liaise with auditors to ensure successful completion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is a strong asset.
- Progressive accounting experience, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and non-profit accounting principles.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with [specific accounting software] is a plus.
