Sr. HR Specialist 16274780

The Senior HR Specialist will provide expertise for HR programs requiring expert knowledge of federal HR terminology, operations, procedures, and requirements. This role may perform tasks in any area of HR, including policy. The consultant must be capable of completing high-quality work expeditiously under minimal supervision and may act as Team Lead over lower-level positions.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply expertise in federal HR policies, procedures, and operations to support HR programs and initiatives
  • Complete assignments and projects independently with minimal supervision
  • Ensure work products meet quality standards and deadlines
  • Provide guidance and leadership to more junior staff when required
  • Remain current on federal HR regulations, guidance, and best practices
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in federal human resources positions
  • Expert knowledge of federal HR policies, operations, and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
