Cordia Resources is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for our non-profit client. As a Senior Accountant you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting month-end reconciliations, managing grants, and providing audit support. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of non-profit accounting principles and experience in grant administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full cycle of grants, including application, reporting, and compliance.
Assist with month-end and year-end financial reconciliations.
Prepare and review financial statements and reports for accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with auditors during the annual audit process.
Ensure compliance with grant terms and reporting requirements.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
Monitor and report on budget variances related to grants.
Maintain accurate records of grant-related transactions.
Assist in the development and improvement of accounting processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Master's degree preferred).
5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on non-profit accounting.
Strong grants management experience is preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.).
Excellent knowledge of non-profit accounting standards and regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
