Firewall Engineer

About You:

• You're a cybersecurity enthusiast with a passion for continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement new firewall architectures, upgrades, and features under the guidance of Firewall Engineers.
• Administer Information Security firewalls, including updates, upgrades, and policy management.
• Review and implement customer changes in alignment with existing firewall policies.
• Maintain and fine-tune software blades related to firewall architecture, such as IPS, URL filtering, Application Control, AV, and Advanced Malware detection.
• Be ready to support outage resolution, planned maintenance, or upgrades outside of regular business hours.

Required Qualifications:

• On-site presence for a minimum of two days per week in either Washington, DC, or Manassas, VA.
• 5+ years of experience in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience configuring and administering firewall technologies, including carrier-class Checkpoint Firewalls, Palo Alto, and Network Security Policy Management.
• In-depth knowledge of security operations, firewall rules, and security policies.
• Strong networking skills to quickly identify and isolate issues during incidents and outages.

Clearance:
