Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert has been engaged by a government contractor searching for a Data Scientist to assist with a government program in Montgomery County, MD.  This will be hybrid role.

Client is searching for someone to engineer solutions – prototype, POC, and implementation work.  They will be responsible for evaluation, assessment, and testing continuity for operations, systems, and programs.

Candidate will be responsible for:
-    Coordinating with customers to define technical requirements
-    Producing documentation for work completed
-    Translation of user requirements into design
-    Providing support on projects and other application efforts
-    Understanding relationships between databases, data warehousing, governance, access, and data quality
-    Modeling and analysis that can be relied upon for positive business outcomes
-    Advance skills such as NLP, machine learning, RPA, AI, and other data-centric categories
-    Work with other data scientists and non-technical users to support government projects
-    Provide guidance on data quality and analytics tools to complete work
-    Ability to complete projects in the confines of the SDLC

Education: 
-    Bachelors in Information Technology, Data Analtyics, Data Science, Computer Science, or other field

Requirements:
-    6+ years of data science experience
-    3+ years of experience in SQL, R, Python, or other scripting languages
-    Knowledge of ETL strategies and application of proper analytical tools 
-    Strong written and verbal communication skills
-    “Can do” attitude
-    Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical users
