Title: Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist
Location: Hybrid - Rockville, MD
Hourly Rate: $30.00/hour
Job Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and review invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Input and manage accounts payable transactions efficiently.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and resolve any issues.
• Maintain positive relationships with vendors to ensure smooth payment processes.
• Assist in month-end close activities related to accounts payable.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in data entry and transaction processing.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
