Nonprofit Senior Accountant 16426634
Washington, DCOur client is a full-service public accounting and consulting firm. They are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their nonprofit team. Ideally, 4+ years of Nonprofit experience. Sage Intacct highly preferred.
Compensation is in the range of $85,000 - $100,000 per year. This role can be remote if needed.
This role is open due to growth. Outsourced Accounting is doing operation accounting ( GL, A/P, A/R, reconciliation, month end close ) for multiple clients. This is a fast-paced environment where you will have to juggle multiple items and projects daily. Those who thrive here are hard workers, efficient, and problem solvers.

Responsibilities / Duties
- Responsible for month end closing processes including approval of journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting account analysis.
- Produces timely and accurate financial statements, compliant with generally accepted accounting principles, meeting corporate reporting requirements.
- Participates in or directs the development of accounting policy and administers approved internal controls, accounting procedures and workflows.
- Manages operational data and ensuring data integrity/accuracy, developing proper documentation, internal control and troubleshooting procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA license is preferred
- 3-6 years of Accounting/Finance experience
- Prior experience working with Nonprofit or Commercial industry
- Mixture of public accounting and corporate accounting experience
- Desire to be in fast growth environment and in a high visibility position
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and or Finance
