Title: Interim Accounting Manager
Location: Hybrid - Bethesda, MD (metro accessible)
Hourly Rate: $50.00 - $53.00/hour
Job Type: Contract
Other: MS Navision/Dynamics, ASC 606, and Full Cycle Accounting experience required
Job Responsibilities
- Review revenue entries and ensure these are accounted correctly including deferred and accrued revenue postings
- Oversight of client billing processes including review of monthly invoices, performing revisions as needed and ensuring all revenue is correctly recognized and reported
- Collaboration with business and delivery teams to ensure correct interpretation of contracts and establish accurate billing within set timeframes for all new billing and revenue arrangements.
- Support the business with all revenue and billing queries and provide key reports and metrics
- Manage SOX/control related tasks related to billing and revenue
- Identify and implement automation opportunities for streamlined processes
- Manage inquiries from internal and external auditors including gathering support and documentation for various audit requirements
- Review and sign off balance sheet reconciliations
- Create and monitor revenue and billing trend analysis
- Support cash application team
- Deal with ad-hoc reporting and business analysis requests
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree preferably in Finance, Accounting or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Skilled accountant (CPA, or equivalent) preferred
- Expert knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
