Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is currently searching for an experienced Data Architect to support the design, development, implementation and maintenance of an enterprise data solution for a healthcare client.

This role will provide expertise to support the development of a data system architecture that supports enterprise data operations, enterprise data warehouse, data portal, and data science applications. This is an exciting opportunity to work as a part of a collaborative data team. This architecture includes Databricks, which is the main focus of the role.

Candidate Responsibilities Include:

• Coordination of project management, engineering, maintenance, QA, and risk management.
• Plans, develops, coordinates, and monitors project activities.
• Develops and supports technical applications to support users.
• Develops, implements, maintains and enforces documented standards and procedures for the design, development, installation, modification, and documentation of systems.
• Provides training for system products and procedures.
• Performs application upgrades as needed.
• Performs, monitoring, maintenance, or reporting on real- time databases, real-time network and serial data communications, and real-time graphics and applications.
• Troubleshoots issues and provides documentation as needed.
• Ensures project life-cycle is in compliance with District standards and procedures.

Required Background:

• 10+ years of implementing Big Data storage/analytics platforms such as Databricks
• Knowledge of Data Architecture best practices
• Knowledge of architecture and implementation of networking, security and storage on cloud platforms
• Experience with deployment of data tools and storage on cloud platforms
• Knowledge of Data-centric systems for the analysis and visualization of data, such as Tableau/Qlik
• Experience querying structured and unstructured data sources including SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience modeling and ingesting data into and between various data systems
• Experience with API development and Web Services
• Experience with complex event processing and real-time streaming data
• Experience with deployment and management of data science tools and modules
• Experience with ETL, data processing, and analytics
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
