Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Hybrid – Arlington, VA
Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 + 20% bonus

Role and Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly and quarterly accounting close, and assist with balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare loan draws for development portfolio
- Manage and perform routine accounting functions such as journal entry preparation for revenue, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, and debt transactions
- Work with finance and operations group to provide ad-hoc accounting reports
- Liaison with external auditors, lenders, and vendors
- Provide support in preparing cash forecasts to analyze short and long-term liquidity requirements
Required Skills/Competencies:
- 1 – 2 years of accounting experience in external audit, or general ledger accounting experience at a for-profit company
- Active CPA license, or candidate is preferable
- Experience in renewable energy, construction, or real-estate industries is preferable
- Experience with technical accounting topics
- Experience with consolidation and intercompany activities
- Experience recording transactions and generating reports from NetSuite, Oracle, or other similar general ledger systems is preferable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Experience working with cross-functional departments such as finance, treasury, operations, and legal
- Strong problem-solving and creative skills with an ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word tools
