Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant. This newly created position is a result of continued growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in General Ledger (GL) and payroll, with experience in public company environments, either in corporate or public accounting settings. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required, and a CPA or active CPA candidate is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end close process, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and making necessary journal entries.
- Perform financial analysis and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Oversee global payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll for our global workforce.
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
- Support the accounting close process with timely documentation and implementation of streamlined processes.
- Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA certification or active CPA candidate preferred.
- Extensive experience with GL accounting and payroll management.
- Experience working in a public company environment, either in corporate or public accounting.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is a plus, but not required.
