Job Title: Inventory and Cost Accounting Consultant

Overview: A leading home services provider, specializing in garage door installation and repair across 12 states, is seeking an experienced Inventory and Cost Accounting Consultant. This role is crucial for optimizing inventory management and cost accounting as the company experiences growth and integrates recent acquisitions.

• • Analyze the current state of physical inventory, including parts and materials, across multiple locations.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and replenishment strategies.
  • Standardize inventory processes and systems across different locations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with a team of 3 in the accounting department and provide expertise to facilitate seamless integration of inventory systems for recent acquisitions.
  • Conduct regular audits and generate reports to assess inventory levels, cost-effectiveness, and financial performance.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to enhance inventory management practices and reduce costs.
  • Work remotely while maintaining consistent communication and collaboration during East Coast business hours (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Eastern).
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in inventory management and cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • Proven track record of making strategic recommendations for inventory standardization across multiple locations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
