Cordia is partnered with a premier financial services company who is seeking a Director of Accounting to join their team on a hybrid basis. 

Title: Director of Accounting
Location: Hybrid - Reston, VA
Hourly Rate: $65.00 - $75.00/hour
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Other: Experience using NetSuite OR Intacct is required

Responsibilities:

• Account reconciliations, bank recs.
• Cash management duties
• Commissions program management
• Support the implementation of scalable internal controls that improve the efficiency of the accounting and finance organization and the flow of quality financial actionable information within the company
• Support Assistant Controller in managing the accounting team through successful audits with external auditors
• Start to finish bookkeeping for 2 subsidiaries. Prepare subsidiary financials.
• Prepare internal and board consolidated financial statements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

Qualifications:

• Impeccable communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Experience with Intacct, NetSuite or equivalent, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Driven and self-motivated to perform at the highest level in a start-up environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting, including revenue recognition, capitalized software
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• CPA track, but no necessarily already a CPA
• Minimum of 6 years accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role.
