Senior Accountant/Controller (Construction)
Gaithersburg, MDWe are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant/Controller to join our team. This role is a sole contributor position, responsible for managing all accounting functions for a construction company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting and be proficient in QuickBooks.

- Handle all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and job costing
- Perform month-end close and prepare financial statements
- Ensure accurate and timely job cost tracking and reporting
- Manage bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasting
- Maintain compliance with state and federal tax regulations
- Work closely with project managers and leadership to provide financial insights
- 5+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks
- Experience with job costing, payroll, and financial reporting
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
