Pricing, Vice President

Arlington, VA

Our client is a $50 Mill DoD contracting that is positioned for rapid growth in Arlington, VA are seeking a direct hire, Vice President of Pricing. This is a great opportunity as they are projected to double in size from 2019 to 2021 with similar forecasts for 2021 to 2023.  The Vice President will report directly to the Director of Business Development. As the Vice President of Pricing you will lead the Pricing Team on Price To Win strategy for specific proposal initiatives as well as all aspects of cost/price proposal development. This high-profile position will interact with numerous department heads for new business opportunities and assume full responsibility for preparing competitive and fully compliant cost/price proposals.  
 
Vice President of Pricing Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the preparation of a fully compliant and competitive cost and pricing volume
  • Prepare and present detailed cost/price briefings for management, including discussion of RFP pricing requirements
  • Interface with Senior Management, Business Development and Proposal Teams to identify issues, develop and support Pricing Win Strategy
  • Work with Capture Team to develop Price To Win (PTW)/Competitive Analysis models in support of key bids
  • Asses government RFP price evaluation models to determine the key cost and price levers for the evaluated bid price.
  • Participate and lead efforts to template and streamline cost/price proposal requirements, supporting complex spreadsheet models, analysis and summarization of data, narrative and descriptive documentation
  • Bring tools and innovation to improve the pricing process across the company
  • Work closely with Capture, Contracts, Purchasing, Proposal Development, and Operations to ensure the cost/price proposal is compliant, accurate, competitive and profitable
  • Establish fundamental policies and procedures related to pricing, cost volume development, cost estimating system manual, training and compliance and audit
  • Oversee pricing policies and procedures and provide guidance on contract and pricing management decision-making processes
  • Active participation in Black Hat reviews, win strategy meetings, and pricing strategy reviews
  • Oversee all Pricing Staff and coordinate with Director of Procurement who oversee Subcontractor/Vendor management and contract negotiations
Vice President of Pricing Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field – Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 15+ years of related experience (5-7 years of experience in a supervisory/management in Pricing
  • Proven expertise in developing and leading large, complex solutions-based bids in the Federal Government services market
  • Proven ability to lead highly effective pricing organizations that have successfully bid and won all types of contracts (FP, T&M, CR)
  • Strong financial acumen and proven ability to partner with Business Operations on Bid versus execution proforma P&Ls
  • Experience developing, reviewing, training and/or leading BOEs from a process and practice perspective
  • Experience developing standardized tools and processes for Pricing and BOE
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively across functional areas (Ops, BD, Capture, Contracts, Finance, etc) to deliver competitive and compliant bids the result in winning profitable proposals
  • Presentation skills; and ability to communicate understandably and concisely with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power-Point
